Meet Rose McCarthy- Online Director and Mrs Global United Lifetime Queen 2012- (USA)

Hello, I am Rose McCarthy. I am from sunny Southern California.

I was an inaugural queen in 2011 and became a lifetime queen in 2012. I have worked with our wonderful director helping with the live pageants ever since. I am now the Online Pageants Director for our Heart of Global United and Spirit of Global United Online Pageants.

In the beginning I competed in the Global United Pageant because I was looking to re-enter the world of pageantry and gain self-confidence. What I walked away with was more than I could have imagined. I have confidence, but more importantly I have a group of women from all over the globe that have become lifelong friends!

I am a teacher, a mommy of 2 wonderful boys, Brodie and Caden. I am also an active alumni or Zeta Tau Alpha, and work with many other organizations to better my community.

Something interesting about me... I used to ice skate as a child, I have lost over 100 lbs during parts of my life, I always seems to take on more than I should, but love every moment. I also got married in a second hand dress that I bought out of a storage unit.

I have so many favorite memories over the years. I was over the moon to be crowned a lifetime queen. I have been blessed to have the amazing Wendy Lindberg at my wedding. I have learned so many things from our international contestants, I love shopping at Walmart with our South African contestants! It is so interesting to see the differences we have and what is common here is not somewhere else. I never knew that school buses aren't yellow, nor that police cars aren't black and white.
